Is Ukraine dreaming of Europe? You could say so. But for Ukrainians the “European dream” is not about becoming a member of the European Union, but about the advent of the rule of low and, as far as possible, freedom from corruption. The average Ukrainian also feels that the word “ Europe” carries the idea of European social standards and European democratic values.
